Shailaja brings to the table an experience of 30 years in the field of academics, training and management. From being one of the first lady engineers in Goa, to working on prestigious educational projects with the Government and industry alike, her career boasts of an illustrious journey. 

As a teacher in Computer Science, she has guided and counselled students on educational avenues in Science and Technology.

In her 3-year tenure as Principal of Dempo-PACE Higher Secondary School, Miramar, she has ensured that almost 25 students secure admissions to Goa Medical College and as many to IITs, NITs and other prominent Engineering colleges.  

She has managed Central and State e-Governance projects in Computer Literacy for Directorate of Education, Goa. She has also worked closely with the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education and Goa University in designing syllabi and study material and training teachers.
